Levenders is the girl who i found selling boiled maize just 5 days after her father’s burial. After she gave me her mom’s number I called her to make a follow up on the same.
One on one i went to where Lavenders’ mom stays i found her and here is what she shared to me.
“Am the father and mom to my kids now after their father passed away a few days ago. On my husband’s burial so many people promised me alot of favours that they were the give me but just one day after the burial of my husband we even slept hungry. The little i get from My business is not enough since it caters for school fees,Rent, Food and medication so it’s not easier to satisfy all the needs. Even the relatives have just walked away my mother is the only shoulder I can lean on. I feel like this life is unfair to me”
She was so emotional while telling me all that. Later i asked her how much was whole stock of her business. She told me Ksh 1,100. I gave her some 3k and gave his mother who is Lavenders’ Grandmother 1k. I promised to support Lavenders on her education and they were really so humbled. Her mom is so humble.
