As I was walking down the road I saw this man sleeping and I decided to check on him. I went there and at first I decided to test on his honesty. I took my Ksh 200 and told him that I had collected it from where he was sleeping . He told me he had nothing on his pocket and so that would not be his money maybe it belonged to his friend who was there before. Later asked him some few questions because of the situation he was in. Here is what he shared to me ;
“After lacking a job to do today in order to bring food on the table I decided to sleep here because I really could not go back home to my wife and children empty handed.I had tried to look for one but it was not easy and so I decided to sleep here atleast to refresh. And I thank God that He gave me a wife who understands me when I don’t have.”
I was really touched and decided to ask whether if he gets a job a little bit far from where he stays he will work? He told me;
“I have no problem I can go and work because at the era we are living in you need not to choose any work so I can go and work so that my children will have food on the table.”
After telling me all that I was shocked that he had slept there from 9am to 3pm. I gave him the Ksh200 I had used to test him and later added him another 2k. He was so humbled and I took his number so that incase I get a job opportunity I will call him and if he agrees I will connect him to do the job.
